What is Pattern Testing?

Pattern testing is a vital part of pattern designing and I need help from amazing people like you to do it!

So…what does it involve exactly?

  • The most important job of a tester is to proofread the written pattern and piece the physical pattern, checking both for errors, clarity, and suggestions to improve. It always is better to have more eyes on a pattern before it is released, as the designer I have been staring at it for weeks and am likely to miss a couple of issues here and there.

  • Take a photo! I request that my testers send me at least one photo of the product, I use these in my listings and social media promotions. Don’t worry, I always credit my testers and would never pass off your work as my own.

  • While not required, I encourage my testers to post their progress or finished product on their social media.

  • All of this will need to be completed prior to the deadline, however I am always understanding if you talk to me about any delays or issues you are having completing the project. You come first!

What is in it for the tester?

  • I will send you a copy of the finalized pattern for your own use as a thank you.

  • Your social media accounts will be tagged in any promotional posts, listings, or messaging regarding the pattern.

I appreciate every single person who is willing to test my patterns and am eternally grateful for your efforts! I would not be here without your support!
